Sta vicino a noi, ma non lo vediamo, non lo sentiamo, non parla oparla idiomi incomprensibili, si materializza all’improvviso e mette in crisi le ragioni di una guerra, di unordine, di una catena di montaggio, la logica stessa del principio d’autorità. Lo incrina con un sorriso, conun silenzio, con una fuga. Vi sfugge. Poi, magari, ritorna – al netto delle vendette di gendarmi e giudici – al suo posto, in un sottoscala, all’ultimo piano di un palazzo nobile, nella trincea. Stage photography is a pioneer species, going from a soil to another, obeying to other laws, claiming other rights. Stage photography as performative act + collective path planning + field recording. Gestures producing photos are influenced by the space composition: live music, other bodies, field sounds, voices and speeches, performed lights, architectures, objects, trees, plants, soils. This is a photo book relating Oreste will be backcreation residency at Kulturfactory contemporary international residency, December 2020. Based on a pretty uncommon procedure in photographs: we have been freed from the need to be ourselves and our pictures (Giovanni Ambrosio, Imma Di Lillo) are no more our pictures. Le jeu du golf n’est pas plus indigne que la photographie. Le joueur de golf veut aussi cadrer une forme géométrique (le trou) et la cibler avec une balle. Parfois de très loin, parfois de très près. Peut-on raconter, avec les images, quelque chose? Pouvons-nous archiver un monde qui n’est pas le nôtre? Peut-on dignement parler au nom de quelqu’un d’autre avec des images? Y a-t-il autre chose qu’une obsession formelle? Ce sont toujours les autres qui jouent au golf.

Chouf Chouf Chebab results from two different trips to Israel/Palestine, collecting football stories for the Mucem Museum in Marseille. Going trough the spaces of those non neutral spaces, guided by young and less young people, photography engages with the complexity of places, of people, of people talking, of people showing, of landscapes marked by stories and history.
