Dust of days and Assenti assenti

Corte Vico II San Michele 2024. Archive, Sound, and Memory in the Vesuvian Zone
10–11 May 2024 – Ottaviano (NA)
As part of the annual event called Corte II Vico San Michele produced by Vesuvio Adventures,, I presented a two-day program of installations and performances hosted in a private courtyard . This project, as always in my practice, is not only artistic but also curatorial. The idea behind Corte is to create a reflective space on life, memory, and collective identity in the Vesuvian zone.
Dust of Days
A site-specific installation composed of photographic prints developed in multiple techniques during my residency at the Frans Masereel Centrum (Belgium).
The work draws from my personal archive collected in the Vesuvian hinterland between 1996 and 2001. It reflects on youth in the suburbs during the first Berlusconian political wave in Italy.
The prints – layered, altered, and reimagined – embody a documentary approach that questions both personal memory and collective history.

Assenti Assenti
10 May 2024, 20:00
A live sound installation developed through a reassembled archive of field recordings, artist interviews, ambient layers, and voices. The project was created in collaboration with Mark Vernon and COB, forming an acoustic act of memory reactivation.

eXe – Live Performance
11 May 2024, 22:00
Live sonic performance by Emanuele Errante (eXe), interacting with the spatial and acoustic texture of the courtyard.
This installation was also part of a broader curatorial framework: RI(VIS)TI – A cultural reflection inside the Festa di San Michele
Curated for Vesuvio Adventures, RI(VIS)TI proposes ways to integrate contemporary artistic research into traditional rituals and public heritage.
Produced with the support of Vesuvio Adventures, Comune di Ottaviano, Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio, and Black Spring Graphics Studio.
