BI-BOX Art Space, a gallery in Biella, Italy, run by Irene Finiguerra, hosts the exhibition curated by Marco Bianchessi Beyond the game, featuring Giulia Iacolutti and Giovanni Ambrosio.

I am invited to present the selection Ultras Girls Ultras Libere, chapter 1: Y., A. and M. + S. Women in the Winners group, Casablanca, Morocco. Cunning and freedom. Six prints, one framed sticker collected on the field with researcher Sébastien Louis and a video (Density) screened on the wall.

The Oreste will be back performance by Kulturscio’k Live Art Collective at museo Madre Napoli features an installation with pieces from Ius Soli and Opus Incertum. The Healing Process.

Oreste will be back. Exile and revolt of Orestes. Interacting with space and tragedy.

The works Opus incertum and Ius Soli by Giovanni Ambrosio are uncertain on the wall and on the ground. We intervene in space by building and deconstructing his art work. As we do with music. Sound. Video.

How can you intervene in a work trying to be spectators and then enter the work of others and inhabit it? And then leave it to its fate.

This also belongs to the characters of the tragedy who, after acting, “rest” in the destiny that has been assigned to them. The viewer has a truly documentary look at the performative action as a whole.

We actors are unimportant compared to the immense possibility of artistic action and tragedy. After the performance each of us lives his own life. We are brothers and sisters.You are artists. Musicians. Technicians. More.

Performance Oreste will be back from 18 to 20 November at 8 pm. Installation Ius soli and Opus Incertum during museum hours from 16 to 21 November 2022.

Monument to Thomas Hirschhorn Chapter one. La sciarpata.Three documentary pieces, three commentaries on art, three commentaries on ultras aesthetics. Three scarves.

Since I am an image maker always trying to understand the nature of images as well as why and how images are art, Thomas Hirschhorn works and texts have always been to me moments of revelation. During years, I have been collecting his printed paratexts at his exhibitions, as documentary pieces, as artworks, as essays, de facto, building up an informal home monument but also an hand made tool helping me in the everyday effort of living and surviving as an artist, in other words, to process the idea of doing art.

Taking advantage of the Football scarf group show at Oof Gallery – the football scarf being the monument to a fandom – I wrote the first chapter of a monument to T. H. Using three of my favourites quotes : No technical skills, Moments of grace, Energy: Yes! Quality: no! They open up, to me, in the most synthetic way, an enormous range of observations and thoughts on my personal art practice, on art itself, and, last but not least, on football supporters aesthetics, peculiarly on Ultras world. 

I invited Emanuele Meschini and Luca Resta from Autopalo to share a moment of grace and to build up our very first collaboration. 

We decide to proceed on very peculiar way of doing, rewriting existing scarves, adopting a classic Ultras strategy: the less expensive, the quickest. Every single original scarf, which is by itself a documentary piece related to our personal story, has been hacked to turn it in a new scarf. Pieces of a monument to T. H. as a sciarpata

È indubbio, il disertore è uno spettro. Sta vicino a noi, ma non lo vediamo, non lo sentiamo, non parla oparla idiomi incomprensibili, si materializza all’improvviso e mette in crisi le ragioni di una guerra, di unordine, di una catena di montaggio, la logica stessa del principio d’autorità. Lo incrina con un sorriso, conun silenzio, con una fuga. Vi sfugge. Poi, magari, ritorna – al netto delle vendette di gendarmi e giudici – al suo posto, in un sottoscala, all’ultimo piano di un palazzo nobile, nella trincea. Luca Salza

Che fare quando siamo in guerra? Quando le guerre non finiscono, macelli industriali permanenti? Disertare! Abbandonare il campo e, nella fuga, costruire con gli altri e le altre un mondo diverso. Non è la ricerca di un luogo edenico, ma un riposizionarsi per lottare meglio, per resistere alla catastrofe. La diserzione, in tal modo, ridisegna il mondo e le nostre esistenze. Per questo nel fascicolo di K vi parliamo di Giovan Battista Marino, Lisistrata, Godard, Calvino, Simone Weil, Heiner Müller, Virginia Woolf, Campanile, Atteone, ecc., e vi parliamo della guerra in Iraq e di quella in Ucraina. Arte e politica: una mappa per disertare. Ecco, questo fascicolo di K è un montaggio fra immagini, parole e corpi in fuga (in lotta) per invitare a prendere sentieri di traverso, oltrepassare le frontiere, inoltrarsi nelle giungle, abbandonare i propri ruoli e i propri posti.

Questa è una rovina. Fateci caso.

A public paper based artwork in Streetcart, a group show curated by O’vascio Room Gallery. From July 27th 2022 until natural destruction.

The site specific installation is based on an urban ruin in the city of Somma Vesuviana, in Campania, in the Vesuvio area: an old telephone booth pedestal. The work is an essay on the remains of a wired based past in our public space, in a society of connectivity. It has been built with loose papers, remaining from a past printmaking residency as well as ruins of essay prints from aquatint, which is itself a precess based on acid corruption of zinc plates.

In October 2022 I produced an edition of five aquatint etchings under the guidance to printmakers Giovanni Timpani and Vittorio Avella.
